Workshop Rejection

Dear [authorname],

As chair of the ASTE Professional Development Committee, I want to thank you for submitting a proposal for a workshop at the 2019 ASTE International Conference to be held in Savannah, GA.  Competition was quite strong this year, with over 30 proposals submitted—that translates to over 50 hours of programming for our 11 available hours in the conference program. This means we had to reject even very high quality proposals given our limited space.  Unfortunately, your workshop #[workshopID]: [WorkshopTitle] was not among those accepted for inclusion in the [confyear] conference program.

I have appended the reviews of your workshop proposal below.  Please share the Committee’s decision and reviews with any co-authors you may have had on the proposal. I hope you will be able to make use of the reviewer feedback as you consider future proposals for ASTE workshops, and that this will not discourage you from future submissions.  Additionally, you may wish to re-format your proposal and submit it to the ASTE program committee as roundtable, poster, or exploratory session. Those proposals are due July 9th.
