There will be three webinars per year, one each in Spring, Summer, and Fall.

ASTE Annual Conference

The ASTE Annual Meeting takes place in January of each year, and provides an opportunity for our membership to engage with current research, policy, and practice and to promote improvements in science teacher education. The location of the annual meeting depends upon proposals to host the conference submitted by the membership.

The ASTE Board will preferentially select a location for the annual international conference in a jurisdiction that does not enact discriminatory legislation or regulations [e.g., gender, disability, race, color, ancestry, national origin]. However, such sites may be chosen no more than every other year to provide equal access to all members, with preferences given to cities in support of such impacted populations within those states that maintain discriminatory legislation or regulations.

In the case where a conference venue is already under contract prior to the establishment of new discriminatory policy/regulation/law in that jurisdiction or if a site is selected in a state with discriminatory legislation or regulations, the ASTE board will address the impact of the site choice through the purposeful selection of the keynote speaker(s), special conference session(s) and/or workshop(s), virtual participation opportunities, and other such options.
