Bio/Personal Statement

Dr. Brian Foley, Professor of Secondary Education. A former middle school and University science teacher, I received my doctorate from the SESAME program at UC Berkeley in 1999. Since then, I have been in Los Angeles, for the last 17 years at CSUN where I direct the Ed Technology MA Program & Accelerated Credential program. I am active in the CSUN Science Learning Colaboratory and the CSUN Noyce project.

Professional Interests

I am interested in uses of technology to support learning (especially coding and computation), teacher professional development and how pseudoscience can be used to help students understand the Science and Engineering Practices.
