PARTNERSHIP HIGHLIGHT



East-Asian Association for Science Education (EASE)

To further the mutual interests in science education and research, and as a contribution to the promoting increased international cooperation, ASTE and EASE have a form Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).  The MOUs is based on the principles of mutual respect and the desire that both partners will gain benefits from their relationship as a result of shared desire to enhance academic co-operation, research, and the maintain friendly relationships. The overarching purpose of this partnership will collaboratively further these goals. 

Both partners of EASE & ASTE Agree to the following:

  • maintain open communication about relevant activities and events;
  • appoint a representative to serve as the designated liasion; and
  • encourage the attendance of the designated representative at the ASTE annual conference and the EASE biennial conference.

The partners also agree to the following additional terms with regard to representation: 

  • EASE will be welcomed to contribute a special symposium at the ATE annual meeting each year; and
  • ASTE will be welcomed to contribute a special symposium at the EASE Biennial conference by a member of the ASTE presidential team or a designee

The partners also agree to the following additional terms with regard to expectations for communication:

  • EASE will post to ASTE Announcements of meetings and events and will link to ASTE website;
  • ASTE will post to EASE announcements of meetings and events and will link to EASE website; and
  • ASTE will link to EASE's website, and EASE will link to ASTE's website.
